30 Years of Hell
Related to the post earlier this week about the need for able criminal defense lawyers, the NY Times today has a stomach-churning story about gross abuse of police powers by the federal government.
The FBI knew these men were innocent, let two of them die in prison, and left the other two there for 30 years? That's monstrous!
I can't believe that the standard is only 1 million for every year served if you are wrongfully convicted. It doesn't seem to me like you can put a price on a year of someone's life, let alone thirty.
